Harmageddon
Harmageddon was a fairly large project for my Game Studio 2 class during my last semester at Cogswell College in Summer 2020. The apocalyptic racing game it became wasn't our first idea for the project, but was the one the group decided on in the end.
The class was split into multiple groups to focus work and simulate a real development team. An art team, tech team, design team, and writing team, with specific students being team leaders, and those leads reporting to the project lead and Professor. I took part in the project working on both the art team and the design team.
In the art team, we discussed work on the art of the game, splitting responsibilities based on our skills and what we could deliver. I was assigned as a 3D Modeler, and was assigned work on Modeling one of the cars, the Whambulance, a bear trap weapon, and a few traffic props. I was also assigned work to unwrap and UV map models.
In the design team, we discussed about the design of the game, racing, weapons, the racing course. After deciding the 5 areas of the racing track: Thunderdome, gas town, bridge, desert, and canyon, we split level design of each area to different students, and would combine each of their work into one racing track. I was assigned to design the desert level, and began work creating and white-boxing a desert racing track area in Unreal.
