Beat Brawlers
Beat Brawlers was the main project of my 2019 Game Design 2 class. Me and four other friends in class, Jesse Conel, Golliath Martinez, Kham-Shem Toure, and Chris Torrecampo, came together to form Major Key Studios (MKS).
From the beginning, we knew we wanted to make a musical game based off of other rhythm and dance games. We eventually settled on the idea of a Beat 'em game with a musical theme and mechanics. We came up with a game where you fight off fans with music instruments as weapons, and you would time and combo your attacks to the beat of the music, making your attacks stronger. Originally, the title of the game was Concert Crashers, but was eventually changed to Beat Brawlers due to the Professor's suggestion.

Each group in the class was suppose to have a producer leading the efforts of the project and wrangling the other members. I stepped up as the Producer as now one else insisted on having that role. On a day by day basic, I would check in with the group and see what each individual was working on and how they were progressing, I would instruct the team what what to prioritize and what to cut, report back with the Professor with how the game was doing, and work on game documents, reports, and presentations. I was also the lead 3D Modeler and Level Designer, white-boxing levels and making props.
